SPIS once again upheld its impressive record of 100% pass results in the Class 12 examinations for 2024. Out of the 58 students who appeared for the exams, 8 students achieved A-1 in all subjects. Furthermore, 16 students scored above 90%, 28 earned distinctions, and 14 secured first class. The school topper, Steve Solgy, achieved an outstanding 97.6%.
In the Class 10 Board examinations, 60 students participated, and 13 of them secured A-1 in all subjects. Additionally, 8 students became national toppers, scoring full 100% marks in various subjects. Anna Paul emerged as the topper with an exceptional 98.4% marks.
Infrastructure & Facilities
St. Paul’s has made significant strides in sustainability by installing a 70kVA solar power system, ensuring energy efficiency across the campus. The school’s cafeteria, Paul’s Bistro, with a seating capacity of 100, provides fresh and hygienic meals to both students and staff.
To enhance transportation facilities for students three new buses have been added to the school fleet. To ensure the safety and convenience of students during their commute, paving tiles and a covered parking area for the school buses have been installed, providing secure transit to and from the buses, even during the monsoon season.
The Maths Lab has been upgraded with enhanced, curriculum-aligned study kits to further enrich the learning experience.
Parents can keep a real-time track of the status of their child for Daily Attendance and Periodic academic performances through the e-SS connect SCHOOL APP on Android and other platforms.
Our Studio Paulo offers state-of-the-art equipment for audio-visual recording. It supports all our cocurricular programmes along with the airing of live radio programs.
Let me mention at this point that the entire audio recording of the Phantasia production has been handled at Studio Paulo by our very own budding student technicians from class XI.
Commencement of the Academic Year
The school academic year 2024-25 commenced on 3rd June for classes I to XII with an inaugural assembly.The Director Rev. Fr. Sabu Nedunilath along with Principal
Mrs. Sunitha Binu Samuel extended a warm welcome to the students and exhorted them to have a fruitful year ahead making use of every opportunity to learn, grow and excel.
Retreat
To begin the academic year on an uplifting note, a retreat was held for the students, on the reopening day. The team from Jesus Youth guided the students through a reflective and motivational experience, using music, drama, and interactive discussions to inspire and encourage them for the year ahead.
A special assembly was organised to honour the toppers of Class X and XII Board examinations on 10th June
Vidyarambham
The little ones of L.K.G were initiated into the world of letters through Vidyarambham ceremony on 12th June, in the presence of the renowned poet Mr. Sippy Pallipuram along with the eminent dignitaries of the school.
Academics
The academic calendar is meticulously crafted to promote effective learning, assessment, and remediation. Students’ progress is regularly monitored through various exams such as Weekly Tests, Mid-Terms, Term Exams, and Model Exams. Identifying a child's true potential is often challenging without providing them with a competitive platform. Olympiad exams serve as the perfect opportunity to do so. They not only encourage academic excellence but also enhance critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in students.

The Inter-House Cultural and Literary Fest, Felicidad, provides a vibrant platform for Paulians to display their creativity and talents. With a mix of onstage and offstage events, the two-day celebration brings a magical energy to the campus, showcasing the diverse skills and enthusiasm of our students.
Our students have competed in various championships, quizzes, and competitions organized by CBSE and other institutions, bringing home numerous accolades and prizes for their outstanding performance.
A team of senior secondary students took part in the Assisi Model United Nations and won awards and recognitions.
Our school had a significant presence at the Kochi Sahodaya Kalotsav.
This year, 57 students represented the school in 69 events. Four students secured first prizes:
Aashvi R. Nambiar in English Recitation (Category 1)
Laasya K. Pillai in Hindi Recitation (Category 2)
Shivani Harish in English Essay Writing (Category 3)
Jinsha Gireesh in Digital Painting (Category 3)
Additionally, Tabassum Riaz earned second prize in Hindi Recitation. All of these students were selected to compete in the All Kerala CBSE Kalotsav held at Ahalia Public School, Palakkad, where they were awarded A grades for their exceptional performances.
Every department conducted competitions and events such as handwriting, newsreading,debates etc. to promote language proficiency and creative thinking.
Student Council & Investiture Ceremony
To nurture leadership among our students, the Student Council was formed, consisting of the School Captains, Sports Captains, and House Captains. The Council members were formally invested with their badges during a dignified Investiture Ceremony held on 3rd July. Lt. Cdr. Suhani Rampal, Assistant Judge Advocate at the Southern Naval Command, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and administered the oath of office to the newly elected members of the Student Council.
CLUB Activities
Students can expand their hobbies through 19 clubs: Quiz, Puppetry, Culinary, Fashion Design, Videography etc…just to name a few.
This year saw the introduction of new club Radio Paulo.
The Club activities for the academic year were inaugurated on 9th July by Ms Shyma R, Programme Manager ,Kochi Station along with radio jockeys Veeru and Hariramya of Radio Mango.
Launch of Radio Paulo
The in-school radio station, Radio Paulo 13.1, with the tagline Nammude pillar polli aannu was launched with a live talk show hosted by celebrity RJs Veeru and Hari, broadcasted to all the students of the school. The station airs engaging programs twice a week, with our student jockeys leading the shows. These programs offer valuable information and feature audio presentations that showcase the diverse talents of our students.
The school Balajanasakhyam unit was inaugurated on 8th August by Mr. M.C Dileep Kumar, Former Vice Chancellor, Sanskrit University.
Ekspozicio
EKSPOZICIO 2024, the Annual Academic Exhibition, was held on Saturday, 28th September 2024. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Abesh Reghuvaran, Assistant Professor at CUSAT. One of the major highlights was the Space on Wheels Expo,by the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), which captivated students and visitors with a unique opportunity to explore space science. The Planetarium Shows mesmerized all attendees, leaving them in awe of the universe’s wonders.
The event showcased the creativity and ingenuity of our students, with exhibits ranging from technological innovations to sustainable solutions, highlighting their potential as future leaders and problem-solvers. The academic collaboration with St. Teresa's College, Ernakulam, and Juzcode Robotics enriched the intellectual experience. Additionally, stalls from Snehanilayam Special School, along with a Game Zone and Food Courts, added a fun and engaging element to the event.
Sports
The first season of Inter School 7s Football Copa San Paulo 2024, for under 17 boys was kicked off on August 16th at Paulian SportsPlex. 23 teams from across Kerala competed for the prestigious title. The closing ceremony was held on 17th August 2024. The Chief Guest, Mr. M. M. Jacob, a celebrated football player and coach, honoured the winners with trophies, medals and certificates. The winner of The Copa San Paulo ever rolling trophy 2024 was Crescent Public School, The first runner up was Al Ameen International School, Edathala.
The sportsman spirit of Paulians was exhibited at various levels. Inter-House Football, Skating, carroms, Chess etc brought out the best in our children.Track and Field events were also thoroughly enjoyed and well played.
The Annual Sports Meet on 30th October was held on the grounds of St.Paul’s College. March Past, Karate Display etc made the day a colourful one. Participants from the four Houses competed with true sportsmanship to excel and win.

The School teams also took part in various Inter School tournaments in Chess, Football, Basketball, Swimming and Badminton.
Out of 250 schools St.Paul’s secured the 10th position in Interschool Chess tournament held at Rajagiri Public School with a participating team of 65 members Roy Arun ottappali won consolation Prize in UP section
Our Basket ball team became second runner up in the Aisat Cup and won a cash prize of Rs.3000/-
Regular Coaching in Football, Basketball and Karate are conducted by expert coaches at The Paulian Sportsplex after school hours.
Special Days & Observances

School assemblies are held every Monday and Friday, focusing on a variety of themes. These sessions offer students the chance to prepare and deliver presentations, fostering their confidence and helping them overcome stage fright.

World Environment Day on June 5 was marked by the inauguration of a medicinal garden on the campus. Rev Fr. Jacob Baiju Ben, Coordinator of the Self Financing Department, St. Paul’s College, planted the saplings along with the Director, Principal,Staff and students.
Posters and Anti Child Labour pledge marked the observance of Anti Child Labour day on 12 June in the presence of Mr. Josy T.V, Assistant Labour Officer, Ernakulam Circle.
An awareness talk on Stray dogs and pledge was led by Ms. Reshma M.S Junior Health Inspector, PHC,Kalamassery on 13th June.
A series of activities were initiated in connection with Reading Week(19-24 June) by the department of Languages.
On 21st June, International Yoga Day was celebrated with a unique display of Skating Yoga, where the entire school participated in practicing Yogasanas and meditation. The occasion was made even more special by the observance of World Music Day, with a vibrant musical band performance adding to the day’s festivities.
Kargil Diwas, International Tiger Day, Hiroshima Day, Social Media Day, National Nutrition week etc were observed through posters and video presentations.

Festivals & Celebrations
The Independence Day celebrations filled everyone with pride and devotion towards our motherland. The Principal hoisted the tricolour, joined by staff and students, in a display of patriotic fervor. A vibrant assembly followed, inspiring a strong sense of patriotism in every student.
Onam was celebrated with great vigour . The programme title Ona..AI showcased evolving cultural and social life of Kerala in modern times.The exuberance of Onam festivities was highlighted through thiruvathira kalli,vadam vali, Pulikalli and topped off with delicious Payasam.
On 5th September, during the Teacher’s Day celebrations, the students of Class XII expressed their love and respect for their teachers and mentors through a vibrant cultural show. To honor their beloved teachers, mementos were presented as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
Special performances of Kerala traditions were highlights of Keraleeyam- the Kerala Piravi programme on November 1st.
The funds raised by the students in the Game zone of the Exhibition were handed over to the Principal as a token of Charity & solidarity towards the people of Wayanad. I take this opportunity to also thank the parent community for your valuable contributions to our Outreach programme…the proceeds of which will be extended to rebuild Wayanad.
November 14 fondly observed as Children’s day was a joyful day with entertaining dance programmes and musical performances by teachers which were much appreciated by the children.
Workshops & Awareness talks
St Paul’s International School continues to collaborate with Pinnacle trainers to provide Life Skill training to all students. Apart from these activities, regular talks and awareness programmes are arranged .
Sessions on Drug Abuse and Menstrual Hygiene were conducted by Dr.Hannath C.M from Lourde’s Institute of Behavioural Sciences.
A session on career opportunities and courses by Prof Krishnan Kutty was conducted to widen the students options for higher education
S.I Mr Babu John (Co-ordinator District Child and Police) and Mr. Shahjahan gave an informative talk on screen addiction and awareness on drug abuse.
Two of our students Aliya Fathima and Bettina Ann Basil of Class IX interacted with the District Collector Mr. N.S.K Umesh at a Round table discussion held at Rajagiri HSS.
Excursions
The golden beaches and carnival spirit enthralled our students who went on a 5 day educational trip to Goa. 93 Students from classes X-XII took part in this learning expedition which undoubtedly enriched their outlook and perspectives leaving behind long lasting memories.
Students of Class XII visited ROBOVERSE an expo on Robotics and new technologies in Artificial Intelligence.
An interactive visit to explore the working of a radio station was a memorable experience for the students of Mass media.
Students of Class V got an exciting opportunity to explore marine life at Central Marine and Fisheries Research Institute, near High Court, Ernakulam.
A visit to High Court of Kerala was an eye opening experience for the Class XI students of Legal Studies elective.
Students of class IX visited Naval Base,Kochi to understand Naval Operations and explore career options.
Inter School Activities
St. Paul’s International School was privileged to host three Inter-School competitions.
Apart from the first edition of Copa San Paulo, the Paulian Kinderfest on 5th October saw the coming together of 20 city schools and 300 participants to compete for 11 different events organised for Pre-K.G, L.KG and U.K.G .Rajagiri Christu Jayanthi Kindergarten were the overall champions.
The third edition of Inter-School Grafitti competition was conducted on 22nd November. Out of 13 participating teams, Bhavans Adarsha Vidyalaya ,Kakkand emerged victorious. Cash prizes worth RS 18500/- were given out to the prize winners.
Partenza
‘Partenza’ is a befitting farewell for the students of class XII in every academic year at SPIS. It is a nostalgic moment as our students are set to spread their wings and soar high.
Parent Teacher Meeting
Parent-teacher meetings are a chance to truly connect with parents, share successes, address concerns, and build a support system for each student. They are conducted regularly to strengthen the parent teacher partnership in the educational journey of our children.
Training & Seminars
Empowered teachers are effective in the classroom, positively impacting students' learning outcomes. Our faculty continuously refresh themselves to remain updated in new methodologies in teaching,assessment and mentoring.
Subject specific capacity building programmes in Physics, Accountancy, Hindi and Malayalam were attended by our teachers. Generic programmes on Classroom screening,Identification of academic challenges,Inclusive practices, NEP/NCF competencies etc. are some of the sessions attended by all teachers.
Training on effective use of AI tools, conflict resolution, Punishment & Rewards were also arranged as in House programmes.
