Annual Report 2025-2026

St. Paul’s International School, Kalamassery, is a prestigious Christian educational institution affiliated with the CBSE. The school reflects the spirit of excellence, deeply grounded in the rich traditions and heritage of the Archdiocese of Verapoly. Over the years, our student body has grown significantly, and today, we proudly embrace 1,700 students with the support of 130 dedicated staff members, covering teaching, administration, and support services.

Our institution has consistently maintained high academic standards, boasting a 100% pass rate, numerous national ranks, and outstanding distinctions. We offer a wide range of academic programs from Pre-KG to Class XII, with students having the option to choose from Science, Humanities, and Commerce streams, along with diverse subject combinations to match their ambitions and career goals.

We offer specialized electives such as Legal Studies, Entrepreneurship, Sociology, Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, and Mass Media, all of which are pursued by our students with great enthusiasm and interest.

  "Stellar outcome in CBSE Board exams"

 St. Paul's International School, Kalamassery, has once again upheld its impressive record of 100% pass results in the Class X and XII examinations for 2025. Out of the 68 students who appeared for the Class X Board exams, 4 students achieved A-1 in all subjects. Furthermore, 23 students scored above 90%, 32 earned distinctions, and 13 secured first class. The school toppers Ann Mariya Thomas and Maria Emil, achieved an outstanding 98%.

In the Class XII Board examinations, 50 students participated, and 4 of them secured A-1 in all subjects. Aldrin K Robin emerged as the topper with an exceptional 98.2% marks. Sreya R and Milan Muhammed scored centum in Accountancy and Mass Media respectively.

The school management has expressed their appreciation for the outstanding performance of the students. This remarkable achievement is the result of the relentless dedication and teamwork of both students and teachers, with the unwavering support of parents.

Infrastructure & Facilities

New Pre K.G section was inaugurated on 9th June. A fully equipped area of 3000sqft has been earmarked for the little ones entering the foundational Stage of education. Colourful Play and activity area makes early child care joyful and builds a strong base for learning to flourish.

St Paul’s is proud to call itself an energy efficient school as all our energy needs; Electric power in all our digital classrooms and other areas are satisfied by the solar power conversion system installed. The school also has independent continuous water supply for all its needs

As part of School safety, Compound walls have been upgraded to height of 6ft.Additional audio-visual cameras will soon be installed for greater surveillance.

To enhance Teaching Learning in classrooms and extend it to support studies at home, the school has entered into a major partnership with TATA Class edge, one of the leading edtech companies in the country. Through its two products namely Platinum in class solution for K.G to XII and Crystal for VI to XII learning experiences have become more engaging and productive. The TATA Studi App helps students, parents and teachers to monitor the academic progress from time to time.

  Commencement of the Academic Year

The school academic year 2025-26 commenced on 4th June for classes II to XII with an inaugural assembly.The Director Rev. Fr. Sabu Nedunilath through his words, instilled in students the ‘Desire’ to know more, learn more and achieve more. Principal Mrs. Sunitha Binu Samuel extended a warm welcome to the students and challenged them to soar in the year ahead without repeating past mistakes.

 Retreat

 The academic year began with a spiritually uplifting orientation session titled ‘Insightful minds for a Transformed world’ .The team from Yuva Nirmithi-Rajagiri guided the students through a reflective and motivational experience, using music, drama, and interactive discussions to inspire and encourage them for the year ahead.

Induction Ceremony for Class I on 9 June

 The enthusiastic beginners of Class I were formally inducted through a blessing ceremony led by the School Director after which they were escorted to their respective classes by their class teachers. The Principal gave an orientation to the parents on the basic guidelines for academic and holistic development.

Vidyarambham

The little ones of L.K.G were initiated into the world of letters through Vidyarambham ceremony on 11th June, in the presence of the renowned poet Mr. Sippy Pallipuram along with the eminent dignitaries of the school.

 Academics

 The academic calendar is meticulously crafted to promote effective learning, assessment, and remediation. Students’ progress is regularly monitored through various exams such as Weekly Tests, Mid-Terms, Term Exams, and Model Exams. Identifying a child's true potential is often challenging without providing them with a competitive platform. Olympiad exams serve as the perfect opportunity to do so. They not only encourage academic excellence but also enhance critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in students.

  Co-curricular activities

 The Inter-House Cultural and Literary Fest, Felicidad, provides a vibrant platform for Paulians to display their creativity and talents. With a mix of onstage and offstage events, the two-day celebration brings a magical energy to the campus, showcasing the diverse skills and enthusiasm of our students.

 Our students have competed in various championships, quizzes, and competitions organized by CBSE and other institutions, bringing home numerous accolades and prizes for their outstanding performance.

 A team of senior secondary students took part in the Assisi Model United Nations and won awards and recognitions.

Our school had a significant presence at the Kochi Sahodaya Kalotsav.

This year, 96 students represented the school in 87 events.

Sriya Gowri and Souparnika participated in the All Kerala CBSE Kalotsav held at Labour India School, Kottayam.

Every department conducted competitions and events such as handwriting, newsreading,debates etc. to promote language proficiency and creative thinking.

 

Student Council & Investiture Ceremony

 To foster leadership skills among students, the Student Council is established, comprising the School Captains, Sports Captains, and House Captains. The members of the Council were formally conferred their badges during a solemn Investiture Ceremony held on 10th July. The occasion was graced by Cdr Rohit Nair, Command Aviation Officer, Southern Naval Command, who served as the Chief Guest and administered the oath of office to the newly elected Student Council members.

 CLUB Activities

 Your talent is God's gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God.

 Students can explore themselves through their hobbies through 19 clubs: Quiz, Puppetry, Culinary, Fashion Design, Videography etc…just to name a few.

 The Club activities for the academic year were inaugurated on 18th July by Kalamandalam Radhakrishnan, HOD Kathakali department, RLV College.

The day transformed the campus into an enchanting occasion with vibrant hues of music,percussion, mudras, acting and graceful moves.

Kathakali performance on Nalacharitham First Day mesmerised the students. As a precursor to the event the various aspects of Kathakali were explained to the students.

The school Balajanasakhyam unit was inaugurated on 11th August by Sri Shaiju P.S Assistant Commisioner of Police. He encouraged the students to uphold values of unity and service.

 Ekspozicio 

EKSPOZICIO 2025, the Annual Academic Exhibition, was held on Saturday, 27th September 2025. The event was inaugurated by Dr.Pramada  Ramachandran, Principal St.Paul’s College.

Across six themes students  displayed projects highlighting innovation, creativity and collaborative spirit. Yoga Display, fashion show, Heritage tour and Movie Spectra kept students and visitors entertained throughout the day.

Additionally, stalls from NGO Goonj, along with a Game Zone and Food Courts, added a fun and engaging element to the event.

 

 Sports

The second season of Inter School 7s Football  Copa San Paulo 2024, for under 17 boys was kicked off on August 29th at Paulian SportsPlex. 15 teams from across Kerala competed for the prestigious title.  The closing ceremony was held on 30th August 2025. The Chief Guest, Mr.  K.A Anson, former National player and coach of Kerala Police Team, honoured the winners with trophies, medals and certificates. The winner of The Copa San Paulo ever rolling trophy 2025 was Najath Public School, The first runner up was The Charter School.

  The sportsman spirit of Paulians was exhibited at various levels. Inter-House Football, Skating, carroms, Chess etc brought out the best in our children. Track and Field events were also thoroughly enjoyed and well played.

The Annual Sports Meet on 8th November was held  on the grounds of St.Paul’s College. March Past, Karate Display etc made the day a colourful one. Participants from the four Houses competed with true sportsmanship to excel and win.

 The School teams also took part in various Inter School tournaments in Chess,Taekwondo , Football, Basketball, Swimming and Badminton. Our students made an impressive entry in the CBSE cluster games.

Satwik J Sajeesh of class  XI C represented the school at CBSE Clusters Boxing - Bhandra, Lakhani, Maharashtra. Our team participated in the CBSE Zonal level skating competition held at Palakkad

At the Sub Junior Girls National Football Championship -Tier -2 held at Narainpur Chattisgarh Shazana E A of class VII secured silver medal.

S Shastika won 3 Gold medal, 4 silver medal at the District level Swimming Championship and Silver medal at the State level. She won accolades at VISIO hosted by Chavara Darshan CMI School, Koonamavu by winning 1 Gold, 1 Silver, 1 Bronze in various swimming styles

 Regular Coaching in Football, Basketball and Karate are conducted by expert coaches at The Paulian Sportsplex after school hours. This year Cricket, Gymnastics and Rollball Skating have also been included and are being pursued with great enthusiasm.

 Special Days & Observances

 Observing special days add flavor to the routine of day to day classroom learning.

The school hosts a rich tapestry of events and celebrations, both nationally significant and culturally vibrant, contributing to a lively and diverse academic atmosphere.

School assemblies are held every Monday and Friday, focusing on a variety of themes. These sessions offer students the chance to prepare and deliver presentations, fostering their confidence and helping them overcome stage fright.

 

 World Environment Day on June 5 was marked by the Interactive and informative session by Mrs Vidya Raju, Nature Conservationist and Snake rescuer.

  Reading week activities were inaugurated by Ms Maryam Anna Varghese Assistant Professor at St.Paul’s College and alumna of our school. She shared her fond memories of school life and motivated students to read all genres of books.

 On 21st June, International Yoga Day was celebrated with entire school participating in Yogasanas and meditation. The same day was made even more special by the observance of World Music Day, with a vibrant musical band performance adding to the day’s festivities.

 Dr  Anju Angel Alex Medical Officer, Kalamassery PHC was honoured on the occasion of National Doctors Day on 1 July.

 International Day against drug abuse,Social Media Day,Suicide prevention Day etc were observed through posters and video presentations.

 Grandparents of UKG were specially honoured on the occasion of Grandparents Day. Grandiflora on 29th September highlighted the significance of Inter generational connections.

  

Festivals & Celebrations

 

The Independence Day celebrations filled everyone with pride and devotion towards our motherland. The Principal hoisted the tricolour, joined by staff and students, in a display of patriotic fervor. An Inter House Dance Drama competition brought alive historic moments that shaped Indian Independance.

 During the Teacher’s Day celebrations, the students of Class XII expressed their love and respect for their teachers and mentors through a vibrant cultural show. To honor their beloved teachers, mementos were presented as a token of appreciation and gratitude.

 Chingathereri- the Onam extravaganza was heralded by the traditional Vadam vali competition for boys and girls. The colourful on stage presentation showcased the essence of Onam in the lives of people adding nostalgia through songs and dance. Sweetness of the delicious payasam lingered throughout the Onam vacation.

 Special performances of Kerala traditions were highlights of Keraleeyam- the Kerala Piravi programme on November 1st.

The funds raised by the students in the Game zone of the Exhibition were handed over to the Principal as a token of Charity. I take this opportunity to also thank the parent community for your valuable contributions to our Outreach programme…the proceeds of which will be extended to the needy and homeless.

 November 14 fondly observed as Children’s day was a joyful day with entertaining dance programmes and   musical performances by teachers which were much appreciated by the children.

 

Workshops & Awareness talks

 St Paul’s International School associated with the Ministry of Textiles to promote Skill Development and conducted a Three Day Craft Demonstration cum awareness programme in the month of June. Indigenous crafts such as Straw picture, Nettipattam, Clay Pottery and Mural painting added new insights into vocational education.

A session on opportunities in Design, Fashion and related sectors was also provided by the experts to Secondary students aspiring to choose aligned careers.

 Self Defence Training was given to the students by introducing the basics of Karate.

Interactive Talk on Drug Abuse and Cyber safety was conducted by Sri Ranjith P.U Sub Inspector of Police, Kalamassery Police Station

 

A session on career opportunities and courses in the Aviation Sector was conducted by members of the Aeronautical Society of India.

Faculty members from AISAT provided an Engineering aptitude session to identify and channelise the students of Science stream.

   

Field Trips

 

Students of Class V got an exciting opportunity to explore History & culture at Hill Palace Museum

While Std. VI visited Kerala Museum, Edapally, Std VII explored Kerala Folklore Museum, Thevara

Class VIII were taken for first day first show of E-Valayam an educational cinema highlighting the dark side of mobile addiction.

Class IX students visited Moozhikulam Jaiva Campus.

Students of Science stream of Class XI enjoyed an informative experience at Mitradam Renewable Energy Centre. Students of Commerce stream sharpened their entrepreneurial skills at Cocoa Rich Chocolate Factory, Kalady.

Class XII students got a rare opportunity to understand Plasma at an exhibition hosted by Bharath Mata College.

Students of Psychology visited Lourdes Hospital to gain more insights on their subject and scope in real life.

 

Inter School Activities

 

St. Paul’s International School was privileged to host three Inter-School competitions.

Apart from Copa San Paulo, the Paulian Kinderfest on 20th September saw the coming together of 20 city schools and 300 participants to compete for 11 different events organised for Pre-K.G, L.KG and U.K.G .Rajagiri Christu Jayanthi Kindergarten were the overall champions.

 

The Fourth edition of Inter-School Grafitti competition was conducted on 21st November. Artistic teams gave out their best strokes to create Public awareness images and win attractive cash prizes.

 

St Paul’s was venue partner for the Inter School Chess Tournament organised by Capablanca Chess School.54 schools across the district participated in under 10 and under 15 categories for boy and girls. Our team emerged victorious.

 Partenza

 ‘Partenza’ is a befitting farewell for the students of class XII in every academic year at SPIS. It is a nostalgic moment as our students are set to spread their wings and soar high.

 

 Parent Teacher Meeting

 Parent-teacher meetings are a chance to truly connect with parents, share successes, address concerns, and build a support system for each student. They are conducted regularly to strengthen the parent teacher partnership in the educational journey of our children.

 An orientation class for parents of Class IX & XI students was held to highlight the changing trends among adolescents. The resource person was Mr. Rajeev S.P Assistant Professor Rajagiri College of Social Sciences.

 Training & Seminars

Our Teaching faculty continuously refresh themselves to remain updated in new methodologies in teaching, assessment and mentoring.

 

The School hosted the Capacity Building Programme conducted by Centre of Excellence, CBSE on the topic Happy Classooms.It  was attended by a total of 60 educators from schools in the city including 17 teachers from our school.

    
 Subject specific capacity building programmes in Economics, Mathematics, Hindi, English and Malayalam were attended by our teachers.Teachers also attend online  Generic sessions on Classroom management, Assessment techniques as part of Continuous Professional Development.etc are also

Our faculty participated in the District level Deliberations on STEM at Cochin Refineries School.

Several teachers participated in Eklavya 30 online series hosted by IIT Gandhinagar.

 

The Principal attended 2 day Exposure Visit & Leadership Conference at Tata Institute of Social Sciences ,Mumbai.She also participated in the 16th All Kerala CBSE Principals Conference of the CSCK.

St Paul our heavenly patron is our guide and  I acknowledge and thank our Patron Arch Bishop Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil for his visionary leadership. I’m extremely grateful to The  Director and Manager of the School who have been a beacon ,leading and guiding me like a beacon.

The entire teaching and non-teaching staff, who are the true pillars of this institution, truly deserve commendation for their unwavering dedication and tireless efforts. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to all the stakeholders, especially parents who have supported us with their valuable feedback while giving us the profound opportunity to transform their children into truly useful citizens.
